CUMBERLAND - William ``Bill'' M. Keyser, 90, of 8 Broadway Circle, Cumberland, died Saturday, March 8, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Oct. 15, 1906, in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Thomas R. Keyser and the late Nannie M. (Hawkins) Keyser. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Viola (Raines) Keyser; and two sisters, Geraldine Duffy and Virginia Dickinson.
Mr. Keyser was a retired prior yard foreman after 48 years. He was a member of the United Transportation Union Lodge 600 and Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Surviving are two sisters, Betty Scollick and husband Dave, Cumberland, and Doris Lee Keyser, Cumberland; one brother, Eugene Keyser and wife Shirley, Cumberland; one step grandson, Larry McKenzie and wife Joyce, Centerville, Va.; and one great-grandson, Conner McKenzie, Centerville.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Lewis Twigg officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
