Doggie, age 94, died at Mennonite Friendship Communities in South Hutchinson. He was the son of Adolph G. and Bernice K. (Birket) Knoefel. He graduated from Abbyville High School in 1945 and served in the US Army from 1945 to 1947. He married Linda Baber in 1983 in Wichita. Survivors include his nephew, Raymond Knoefel. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother, Robert Knoefel, and his nephew, Ronald Knoefel. Funeral service will be held February, 11, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Abbyville Cemetery, with military honors conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard.
