She married Robert Ivy MAY on 08 Feb 1900 in Caldwell Parish LA and they had 11 children: Infant Daughter, Odis Elmore, Ethel Epsie, Gladys, Linnie Gertrude, Robert Ocie, Cassie Rose, Robert Ivy Jr (Son), Lorene & George E. (Dude) MAY.

She was a housewife on Grandpa's farm and had auburn hair, blue eyes, and about 59" tall.

Mrs Primrose May, 77 year old ward 9 resident, died late Tuesday night in a local hospital after a long illness. Funeral services held at 2pm today (Thursday) from Hickory Springs Baptist Church in Jackson Parish with the Rev. A.A. Calhoun in charge. Interment was made in the nearby cemetery under the direction of the Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia.
Mrs May is survived by three sons: R.I. May Jr and George May, both of the Ward 9 community; and Ocie May of Columbia; and five daughters: Mrs Gladys M. Broom of Grayson, Mrs Clifford Wells of Ruston, Mrs Sam West of Cotton Plant, Mrs Mary Mooney of Shreveport, and Mrs Lorene Bell of West Monroe, 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
