Henry Hancock Lee was born at Greenview. His father was Henry Hancock Lee the Fourth. His mother was Susan Ann Lee. Henry the Fifth married Olivia Downman Nutt. Their first born son was Henry Hancock the Sixth, the last of those. There were nine other children after him. Henry the Fifth enlisted with the Black Horse Troop of the Fourth Virginia Cavalry on 15 March 1862. He was captured at Bealeton on 10 February 1863 and sent to Old Capitol Prison. He was exchanged at City Point on 29 March 1863. Henry was the color bearer of his troop. His parole came on 7 May 1865 at Fairfax Courthouse.
