"Thomas Cellon(sic) Benny, native of Vandalia, Mo., and Biloxi resident 66 years, died at 6 a.m. today at his home, 844 Caillavet street. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lydia Benny; four sons, James and Edgar, Biloxi; George of Mississippi City, and Thomas Jr., Inglewood, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. J. A. Armstrong and Mrs. Gordon Uren and 11 grandchildren. Mr. Benny was a retired carpenter and butcher. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday from Bradford Funeral Home with services by Dr. Joe Tuten, First Methodist pastor. Burial will be in Biloxi Cemetery."
