Mr Wilbur John Busse of Charlotte died Wednesday December 23 1998 in Salisbury NC Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday December 28 1998 at McEwen Funeral Service Mint Hill Chapel Burial will follow In Charlotte Memorial Gardens The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home Mr Busse was born April 28 1919 In Hermann MO son of the late William Ernest Busse and Ann Katherine Busse He attended Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church Mr Busse served as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps He was captured and imprisoned on December 23 1941 and was a POW for four years Mr Busse retired from the GG Rea Co Survivors include sister Margaret Lieneke of Chamois MO nephew Robert Lieneke and wife Betty of Jefferson City MO niece Kathy Hoffman and husband Charlie of Chamois MO nephew Don Mefford and wife Carol of Monroe NC greatne-phews Donnie Meffore of Monroe NC and Mike Mefford of Matthews NC Mr Busse was preceded in death by his wife Edna Lucinda Privette Busse and son Michael Steven Busse Memorials may be made to Rowan Regional Home Health and Hospice 825-A West Henderson St Salisbury NC 28144 McEwen Funeral Service Mint Hill Chapel is serving the Busse family.
