Sutter City, July 2 - Mrs. Louise Stockford, a well-known former resident of Sutter county, died at San Leandro Tuesday night, which will be sad news to her many friends and acquaintances here. She was the wife of Charles Stockford, a native of Sutter county, and 50 years of age. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Caroline King, one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Newton of Loomis, Placer county, and three brothers, John King of Loomis, Charles King of Orland, and J. F. King of Sutter county.
The funeral services were held here Wednesday afternoon under the auspices of the Christian Science Society. The funeral was attended by a large number of acquaintances of the deceased. The interment was in the Sutter County Cemetery, under the direction of Kelly Bros.
