Alice Margarite was the eldest of seven children, four boys and three girls. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
She graduated from high school in Iowa and taught in a one-room schoolhouse during her early married years in Loup County, Nebraska.
She married Robert Parkin, a native of England, in 1932. They were engaged in ranching for many years, and he and a son also preceded her in death. Robert's son, Edward G., is still living.
Babe moved to Wyoming in 1943, eventually settling in Douglas. She married William W. Dieleman in 1952 and became his widow in 1959.
She is survived by two brothers, a sister, a son, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
