Fatal Accident

At Huntley, last Friday afternoon A.F. Schleusner, a railroad contractor, was hit by a small piece of rock in the back of the head by an unexpected explosion, and died within six hours, his skull being fractured in three places. Dr. Hogg of this place was summoned immediately. The powder had been placed and the fuse ignited, when the workmen left for dinner. One of the men, forgetting his coat, called for Schleusner, who was in the rear, to get it for him, and it was while he was back that the blast exploded. The deceased was twenty-three years old and very popular. He comes from West Point, Neb., where his people now reside. Under the supervision of Mr. Hagy, a grave was dug in the cemetery near Coulson, and the unfortunate man buried on Sunday. This makes the fourth man killed in this piece of work, and the affair caused more sadness than is generally displayed. - Coulton Post.
