Willie Mae Ellison, 76, widow of Albert E. Ellison Sr., died Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia.
Born in Franklin County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Willie and Nancy Aycock Harris. Mrs. Ellison retired from Campbell Soup Co. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy E. Johann of Richmond, Va.; two sons, Robert and David Ellison, both of Bishopville; a brother, Joe Harris of Leesville; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Albert and Billy Ellison; a brother, Norman Harris; four sisters, Odell Harris, Peggy Dease, Laura Skinner and Annie Bell Ellison. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. B.R. Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home and other times at the home, 604 Elmore Road. Memorials may be made to the Bishopville Rescue Squad or to Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of arrangements.
