Edna was born in Danbury, a daughter of the late Eugene and Frances Duryea Scott. She was raised in Ridgefield and initially attended high school there until her family moved to Vista and then she graduated from New Canaan High School which served the Vista area at that time. Early on, Edna worked at Nash Engineering in Norwalk.
Edna was a fifty-year member of the Vista Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of Stevens Memorial United Methodist Church. She lived her entire adult life in Vista and enjoyed camping and was a great lover of animals.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Stevens Memorial United Methodist Church, 8 Shady Lane in South Salem, NY on Friday November 5, 2010 at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Edna, may be sent to the Vista Volunteer Fire Department, 377 Smith Ridge Road, South Salem, NY 10590.
