An Independence, Missouri resident, Beulah M. Howland, 90, formerly of Chillicothe, Missouri, died Monday, March 28, 2011 at John Knox Village in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Beulah was born to Albert J. and Clara J. (Baker) Warren on September 14, 1920 in Stoneham, Pennsylvania.

She loved gardening, canning, and making quilts. She was also a Bible School and Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the Women's Department of the RLDS Church in Chillicothe, Missouri.

On March 23, 1940, in Rolla, Missouri she was united in marriage to George W. Howland. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2002.

She is survived by three daughters; Bessie M. Schoemig, Clara L. Howland, and Catherine P. Powell all of Independence, Missouri; two brothers, Harold Warren and Albert Warren both of Colorado; six grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Clarence Bruce and Raymond Warren, 3 sisters Doris Easter, Pearl Boatwright and Dessie Light and her son Albert George Howland on June 16, 2002.

Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery, Chillicothe, MO.
