Margaret E. Schultz, 83, of 3275 Range Line Road, Manitowoc, died on Feb. 10, 2002, surrounded by her family, following complications from heart surgery at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay.

The funeral was held on Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Liberty. Officiating was the Rev. Timothy Unke, with emtombment at Knollwood Mausoleum in the Town of Kossuth.

Margaret was born on June 2, 1918, in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of the late Adolph and Elizabeth Schramm Ewald.

On May 25, 19401, she married Lester C. Schultz at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Newtonburg. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1987.

Margaret farmed all her life with her husband until retirement.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Ladies Aid, Lutheran Women's Missionary Society and the OWLS. Margaret enjoyed volunteer work at the Manitowoc Health Care Center and Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law and their families: David and Dianne Schultz of Manitowoc, and their children, Darren Schultz and his stepdaughter, Jade, of Suffolk, VA, and Danielle and Jeff Walters of Sun Prairie; and Dean and June Schultz of Peshtigo and their children, Stephen and Christopher Schultz, two step-granddaughters and their husbands, Lori and Tony Beland and their child, Tyler, of Marinette, and Marie and Dale Pivonka of Coleman; a daughter and son-in-law: Renee and Robert Johnson of Oak Creek, CO, and their children, Robert, Kendra, and Burt.

Also surviving are one sister-in-law: Lorraine Ewald of Manitowoc; one brother-in-law and his wife: Ralph and Jane Schultz of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Margaret was also preceded in death by one grandson: David Dean Johnson; and one brother: Armin Ewald.

The Christianson-Deja Funeral Home of Valders is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
