Henry Clay Hawkins
A well known farmer dropped dead at his home, two miles north of this city, Friday from a stroke of apoplexy. The deceased was born in Highland Co., Ohio and was aged sixty-six years, five months and eight days. He moved to this state in 1840 and has lived here continuously since that time. Mr. Hawkins was married in this county to Nancy Small, who with 4 children, U. Grant Hawkins, of this county, Charles A. Hawkins and Mary E. Cory of Jennings County, and Ida May Waddle of this county, survives him.
