William Oliver "W.O." Buckner, age 99, of Canmer, KY, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011, at his Residence in Canmer, KY. The Hart County native was a retired farmer and a member of Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was the son of the late Samuel Buckner and the late Virgie Peal Moss Buckner He is survived by his wife of 77 years Marie Buckner of Canmer Ky; Grand daughter Amy Jo Carroll ( John Michael) of Canmer Ky; A Great Grandson William Harrison Carroll of Canmer Ky; One Sister: Edna Frances Hawkins, Brownsville, KY; Several neices and nephews also survive. In additon to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Billie Joe Buckner and his daughter in law Sue Buckner; also an infant son and ten brothers and sisters. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM,CT Monday, October 10, 2011. and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM,CT Tuesday, October 11, 2011.
