Died: At Colusa, March 20th, Mrs. M. J. C. Moore, wife of E. B. Moore, aged 43 years, 4 months, and 7 days.
Deceased was a daughter of Peter Van Ness, formerly a merchant of Colusa, and was born at the little village of Ursa, about ten miles from Quincy, Illinois. When about 18 years of age, she married Hon. H. W. Dunlap, former County Judge of this county, with whom she came to Colusa in 1854. She leaves three children to mourn the loss of a fond and good mother. Mrs. Moore was a woman of remarkable benevolence and public spirit, and was always ready to lend a hand to any public enterprise. She will be mourned and missed by the entire community. May her spirit rest in peace and reap the rewards of a well-spent life.
