Lois Simpson, 86, of Russellville, died Saturday, October 8, 2011, at her home. She was born January 26, 1925, at Hector, to Eugie Olan and Faye Taylor Langford.

She was a member of the Chapter 505 of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Sunnyfield Extension Homemakers Club, and the Sew Creative Club, and was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Deaton Roush Circle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of almost 60 years, Roy Hamilton Simpson, and an infant daughter, Martha Faye.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Alton and Barbara A. Simpson of Memphis, Tennessee; and a brother and sister-in-law, Nelson and Bobbye Langford of Russellville.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Gail Baldwin. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Honorary pallbearers will be her caregivers, Charles Hessler, Jackie Farmer, Debbie Meyer, Lula Hale, Ruby Tankersley, Shirley Crawford, Linda Crawford, Lesa Emberson, Olivia Schluteman and Yvonne Cox, and members of Chapter 505 of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Sew Creative Club, the Sunnyfield Extension Homemakers Club, and the Deaton Roush United Methodist Women's Circle.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening, from 5 to 6 p.m., at the funeral home.
