Mrs. Nuna Jean Tanner Dowd DeMine
BLOOMINGDALE - Mrs. Nuna Jean Tanner Dowd DeMine, 82 passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at her home under the care of Hospice Savannah after a long illness.

She was born in Johnson County, Georgia near Wrightsville in 1927.

She lived in several cities until retiring to Savannah in 1991.

She graduated from St. Francis Xavier LPN School in Charleston, SC and worked at several nursing homes.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles E. Dowd.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas DeMine, Sr. of Bloomingdale; daughter, Linda Bucenec of Bloomingdale; sons, Thomas DeMine, Jr. of North Augusta, SC and Edd DeMine of Pembroke; 4 grandsons and 2 step-granddaughters.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim .

Remembrances may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, 201 Television Circle, Savannah, GA 31406 or to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
