Anthony "Tony" William Keimig 89, of Stronghurst, IL passed away Friday October 7, 2011, 3:40 pm at the Oak Lane Nursing Home in Stronghurst, IL. He was born October 16, 1921 in Lindsay, NE the son of Henry Hugo and Anna Marie Albracht Keimig. He married Edna R. Schwartz on September 17, 1945 in Omaha, NE she preceded him on April 1, 2005.

He is survived by two daughters Kris (Larry) Baker of Charlestown Indiana, and Donna Hoerner of Good Hope, IL; four sons Robert (Linda) of Chandler, AZ, Jerry (Kathy) of Stronghurst , Mike (Chris) of Galesburg, IL and Dave (Nancy) of Valparaiso IN; 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; three sisters Ann Ayers of CA, Rita Carse of TX, and Sister Jo LaVerne of WI; one brother" Jack" Justinian (Liz) Keimig of the Quad Cities a He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers (Edwin, Wilfred, and Francis), 3 sisters (Marie Hanke, Kay Reifenrath, Margie Keimig).

Tony farmed in Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois. He loved farming and especially harvest time. He was an Archer Oil Dealer for many years. He was a member of St. Paul's Parrish in Macomb for many years and also St. Patrick's parish in Raritan, IL. Tony enjoyed all of his family time and especially holidays when everyone was together. He enjoyed playing cards, visiting with people and in his early years bowling. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball and Nebraska Cornhusker football fan.

Funeral service will be Tuesday October 11, 2011, 10:30 am, at St. Patrick's. Catholic Church in Raritan, IL. Burial will be in the St. Patrick's. Catholic Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday October 10, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Corman Memorial Home Roseville, IL, a rosary will be held at 5:30 pm. Memorials may be made to Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab of Stronghurst, and or St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Please sign the online guestbook at www.cormanmh.com.
