MOTHER OF 7 IS VICTIM OF HEART ATTACK
Sudden Death of Beloved Hill District Matron Shocks County
Residents of the Maxwell-Sites district were shocked beyond words this morning when news of the sudden death of Mrs. Esther Dunlap, 52, wife of Willis Dunlap, prominent Sites farmer, was received. Mrs. Du nlap died of a heart attack at her home at 10:15 a.m.
Mrs. Dunlap had been in her usual good health, although it was known that she had been suffering with heart trouble for some time. She arose, cooked breakfast, and was attending to her household duties when she was stricken.
Mrs. Dunlap, mother of Mrs. Ellsworth Killebrew and half-sister of Attorney U. W. Brown of Colusa, was born near Orland March 30, 1883, moving to Sites 18 years ago. She was active in community affairs and was a member of Maxwell Chapter No 369, Order of Eastern Star.
Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her death seven children: Charles Brownlee, James Willis, Jeanette, Esther June, William Herman and Robert Perley Dunlap, all of Sites, and Mrs. Ellsworth Killebrew of Colusa ; two half brothers, George Simpson of Dixon and Attorney U. W. Brown of Colusa, and a half-sister, Mrs. Henry Kraft of Maxwell. Winifred Killebrew and Sandra Sue Dunlap are grandchildren of the deceased.
