F. W. Belfield He died in the Cholera Epidemic of 1873 in Valley City.

He came from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Iowa as a young boy with his family. He became one of the pioneer regular physicians of Scott County, Iowa. He died in the Cholera Epidemic of 1873 while practicing his vocation.

He was married in 1868 to Frances E. Vosburg[h] in DuPage, Illinois. The family lived in Valley City. He left two children - Evaline Belfield and Henry Earl Belfield. By 1875 Frances remarried to George Hoffman of Scott co., Iowa.
