John was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Floyd and Violet Louise Buchanan Fogle; a son, John Fogle Jr.; and two sisters, Patricia Wooster and Debbie Zimmerman.
He is survived by three children, Barbara (David) Jump of East Peoria, Christina (Dean) Gramberg of Lavergne, Tenn., and Jamie Fogle (Steve Jacobs) of Kissimmee, Fla.; a special niece, Tanyia (Brian) Ramsey of East Peoria; six brothers, Alan, Eugene, Raymond, Bill, David and Paul Fogle; six sisters, Mary (Lawrence) Madearis, Nancy, Jane, Sherrie and Lois Fogle and Tina Page; and seven grandchildren.
John was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
He loved his country and served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War.
John was a master mechanic and carpenter who could build and fix just about anything he set his mind to.
There will be no funeral service. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. He then will be laid to rest with his brothers-in-arms at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, with full military rites, at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to the VFW Post 2078 in East Peoria.
