There is a discrepancy for the date of Catherine's death. Her grave marker reads 27 November 1911. However, the announcement of her death was published in the 3 November 1911 edition of the Red Deer Advocate. Her date of death, according to the article, was 27 October 1911. I have chosen to use the latter date.

There have been many variations of Catherine's surname. According to Charles & Catherine's marriage registration, Catherine was adopted by Samuel Knickle. Catherine's adoptive mother, Catherine Knickle, passed away in 1910. Her surname was written as Knickle. Samuel Knickle passed away in 1920. His surname was written as Knickle. I have choosen to use this spelling for Catherine as well. I have not been able to find connection to her birth parents.
