Granny was a very precious woman. She was strong yet had an innocence about her that was very charming. She was a wonderful grandmother and was truly loved by all who knew her. If anyone could make it into sainthood, My grandmother could.
Granny worked in fast food during my lifetime. I don't know too much about her other jobs she may have had. She did pick cotton when her family first moved to Roswell, New Mexico from Oklahoma around 1946.
Granny loved animals. She would not eat chicken as she had a pet chicken named Friday (pictured), that she loved very much. She grew a fruit and vegetable garden every year for all of my life and I was 37 when she passed away. She canned her vegetables and made jellies, peservatives etc... from the fruit. She also hand quilted lots of beautiful quilts which were distributed among a lot of her family. She gave me one for my birthday one year. She always sewed a penny, of the year she finished her quilt, into the corner of it.
Goodbye Granny, May you be among the angels and with God...
