Samuel Edward Beltz, age 84 of Marion, passed away at his home, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Sam was born February 4, 1938 in Marion County, the son of Lester and Ivarene Mae (Matteson) Beltz Sam was employed by Tecumseh Products as a machine operator and then served as a forklift operator at Dryers AHP. He was a member of Shiloh Community Church. On August 23, 1957 Sam was united in marriage to Marlyn Sue Pfleider who survives. Sam is also survived by his children: Karen (Chuck) McGrath, Timothy Beltz and Steven (Michelle) Beltz; grandchildren: Steven Cordell Beltz, Jennifer Grant, Cassy (Chuck) Bindis, Tiffany (Tyler) Bruesch, Kate (David) Johnson and Crystal Beltz; great grandchildren; Damien McKenzie, Lucas Bindis, Jaden Johnson, Victoria and Allyssa Avila, Jessica (Dakota) Holderson, Lily and Melody Bindis, Daisy Johnson and Arian Beltz; brothers: Raymond (Blanche) Beltz and Paul (Peggy) Beltz; sisters-in-law: Carol Beltz, Tammy Beltz, and Sharon Evans; brother-in-law: Tom Higgins; and many nieces and nephews. Sam is preceded in death by his parents; son, Duane Beltz; grandson, Brandon Beltz; brothers: William, Albert, and David Beltz; sisters: Phyllis Clark, Maud Higgins, and Jane Malone. Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2022 at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel from 5PM to 7PM; funeral service will be Saturday at the funeral home at 10AM with Pastor William Wasserbeck officiating; burial will be in Prospect Cemetery.
