Virginia passed away the day after her 32nd birthday on December 28, 1956. She had been celebrating with her brother Gene and his wife, Carolyn, and had started feeling badly. Later that night she was worse and her husband took her to the hospital. He was carrying her in when he felt the life go out of her and she died in his arms. It was a heart attack.
She was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia, on December 30, 1956, in Northeast Center Section 2, Block. M., it was conducted by Holloman Brown.
Funeral services were conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home and burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
