Norma Jean (Washburn) Davis, 85, of Creve Coeur, formerly of Peoria, died at 10:34 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at Washington Christian Village in Washington, Ill.
She was born on Dec. 26, 1925, in East Peoria, Ill., to Charles and Inse Kissner Washburn. She married Orvil L. Davis Sr. on April 18, 1959, in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Diane (Larry) Siebenthal of Creve Coeur; three sons, Edgar (Teresa) Davis of Pekin, Orvil Lee (Michelle) Davis Jr. of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Archie Davis of Pekin; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Norma was preceded in death by one son, Randall, and two brothers, Charles Jr. and Herbert.
Norma's most treasured asset was her family, who will miss her greatly.
Norma was a clerk at the Peoria County Courthouse for over 30 years.
She was a longtime member of Creve Coeur Christian Church.
A memorial service for Norma will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
