Louis Alton Zimmer, 95, of Vestal, formerly of Maine, N.Y., passed into the arms of the Lord, Tuesday, May 23, 2006. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Ida May Zimmer on November 1, 1990; parents, Jake and Lulu Zimmer; three brothers, Robert, Charles and Warren; a son, Boyd and daughter-in-law, Millie. He is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Allan and Virginia, and Lyle and Francis; two sisters-in-law, Elma and Gertrude Zimmer; daughter-in-law, Judy Zimmer; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Louis was a member of the Maine Masonic Lodge #399 F&AM, the Operating Engineers Local 410 for 45 years, was an avid gardener and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Louis was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at Maine Cemetery, Maine, N.Y., with the Reverend Dean Masland officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott
