Gary Paskert of Emmetsburg died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at Spencer Municipal Hospital in Spencer. He was 56.
Funeral services for Mr. Paskert were held Saturday, March 6, at the Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg. The Rev. Melvin Low, pastor of Trinity Episcopal Church in Emmetsburg, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Emmetsburg.
Honorary bearers were Hans Meng, Richard Thiel, Robert Kroemer, John Brennan, Robert Domek and Milo Lammers.
Casket bearers were James Pettit, Chad Schettler, Homer Hamilton, Steve malm, Dan O'Leary, Steven Westfall and Daniel Reinders.
Gary Lorence Paskert was born April 29, 1942, in Remsen, the son of Lorence and Agnes (Krogman) Paskert. He received his education [at Remsen St. Mary's and] in Lake Park and graduated from high school in 1962. After graduation he began driving truck.
On Feb. 14, 1969, Gary Paskert and Sharon Stoltenberg were married at Luverne, Minn. The couple made their home in Emmetsburg. Mr. Paskert had been a truck driver owner/operator since 1974.
Survivors include his wife Sharon of Emmetsburg; three children, Shawna Paskert of Woodbine, Shane Paskert of Emmetsburg and Stacey Paskert of Omaha, Nebr. Also surviving are his mother, Agnes Paskert of Lake Park; and two brothers, Larry Paskert of Greenwood, Wisc., and Allen Paskert of Lake Park. Mr. Paskert was preceded in death by his father; and a sister, Carol Jean Rolfes.
