Harriett E. (Van Curen) (Ralston) Beans Age 76, of Canton, passed away Wednesday May 5, 2010 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born August 24, 1933 in Morristown, OH to the late Paul and Francis (Burghy) Van Curen. Harriett was a Canton area resident for the past 57 years and had served as a private duty nurse for many years. Harriett was a vibrant person having never met a stranger and was generous to a fault. She truly loved life and her passion for dancing. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husband, Glenn Ralston; her husband, Richard Beans; infant daughter, Joy Ellen Ralston; two brothers, Melvin "Rex" and Terry Joe Van Curen. She is survived by beloved companion, Mike Thomas of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Michael Toussant of Canton South; two grandchildren, Lurae and Brad Lightner of Canton, Dylan Toussant and Leslie Ramos of Canton; two great-granddaughters, Grace and Leah Lightner; twin great-grandsons, Kaden and Isaac Lightner; sister, Mariruth Graham of Bellville, OH; two step-sons, Mike (Cherie) and Dan (Diane) Beans; three step-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank St Joseph Adult Day Care Center, her home angels, Jean, Ann and Carol and Hospice of Tuscarawas, Stark and Carroll Counties. Friends may call Monday 4-7pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. Graveside services will be Tuesday May 11, 2010 at 11:00am in Union Cemetery, Morristown, OH. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association at 4815 Munson St NW, Canton, OH 44718 or Hospice of Tuscarawas, Stark and Carroll County.
