ABELL, PAULINE MUDD, 82, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East. She was a 35-year, retired employee of Axton Candy and Tobacco Co. in Louisville. She is preceded in death by her husband, James B. "Bert" Abell; parents, Phillip Owen and Mary Josephine Caldwell Mudd; one sister, Patsy Von Nostitz; two brothers, Bobby Mudd and Bernard Mudd. Survivors include daughter, Elizabeth A. "Betty Jo" Thomas of Louisville; two grandchildren, Marcia Golder of Club Run, KY and Richard Thomas Jr. of Louisville; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Phillip, Fred, Mike, and Gene Mudd, all of Lebanon, KY; five sisters, Geneva Blair, Carolyn Smith, Juanita Spalding and Connie Pendygraft, all of Louisville and JoAnn Tharp of St. Frances, KY. Funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
