John Henry Ford died Sept. 11, 1915. He was a business man. He was in failing health after his wife died in February 1914. He was born in York Township Jan. 4, 1845. He married Addie Jones in 1877. He was engaged in the mercantile business in Mooreville for several years but in 1881 he moved to Milan and conducted a store here for many years. He was prominent in civic affairs. He was a village clerk, and justice of the peace for several terms, only retiring as JP last spring. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Hobbs of Los Angeles, CA and Mrs. George Davis of Lansing. Funeral at ME church, Rev. W. S. Smith officiating. (John Henry was the son of William Ford and Almira Waugh).
