S. PETER SPIRES, LIVINGSTON, DIES
FUNERAL SERVICES SET FOR 11 TODAY
LIVINGSTON, DEC. 11 -- S. Peter Spires, Livingston farmer, died unexpectedly at his home here at 9 last night.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Spires Family Cemetery near Neeses by the Rev. Raymond Schumpert.
Mr. Spires was a native of Orangeburg County and was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Della Curtis Spires; three daughters, Mrs. Polly Campbell of Steedman, Mrs. Rachel Gantt of Springfield, and Mrs. Lillie Mae Herron of Livingston; two sons, Jesse Spires of Livingston and John Robert Spires of Sawyerdale; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Williams, Mrs. Ida Chavis, of West Columbia, and Mrs. Minnie Heyward of Columbia; three brothers, John Spires of Livingston, Nathan Spires of Springfield and James Spires of St. Matthews; and 13 grandchildren.
The Culler Funeral Home of North is in charge of arrangements.
