Premilia M. Andries of Westminster; 101 Westminster Premilia M. (Doiron) Andries, 101, of Westminster, died on Saturday, January 3, 2009, in the Lachance Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 28, 1907 in Rogersville, New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of Phillippe & Domatile (Brun) Doiron. She was the 6th child of 11 children. All are pre-deceased except for one sister, Ida Thibodeau of Canada. Her husband, Auguste J. Andries died in 1989. She had one son, Henry J. Andries who married Cecilia (Crawford) Andries. Both are deceased (1997 & 1998). She leaves six grandchildren, Helen Moses and her husband Sylvantus, of York PA, Carol Poisson and her husband Phil of Gardner, Alvin Andries and his wife Lisette, of Westminster with whom she lived, Gail Ouellette and her husband Charles, of Lunenburg, Jerry Andries and his wife Bette, of Palm Bay FL, and Lisa Robichaud and her husband Euclide of Hubbardston. She leaves 16 great grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren, and three great-great-great grandchildren. She was a skilled cook at the Harvey Station Community Hospital in New Brunswick, where she cooked for Prime Minister Trudeau and Queen Elizabeth while they were touring. She was employed at the former Cluet & Peabody, and she also worked at Mohawk Wire & Cable, where she received a letter of recognition from NASA for services to her country for making the cable for Apollo 13. She was a beloved grandmother, who was an avid Red Sox fan. She was very adept at crocheting and has passed many treasured heirlooms down to her family through the years. ANDRIES Calling hours will be on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 6-8pm and the funeral will be on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 10am- both will be held at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd, Fitchburg MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New England Hospice, c/o Leo P. Lachance Center, 59 Eastwood Circle, Gardner MA 01440.
