*This is Channing Eugene. He is buried at the Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Coolidge, Pinal Co., Arizona. He married Mabel McClellan on March 17, 1897 in Sherburne, NY. It appears their marriage ended in divorce, he moved west for his health; first to Oklahoma, then on to Pinal Co., Arizona. Mabel appears to be buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery, DeRuyter, Madison Co., New York.

Note: In the 1895-97 "DeRuyter NY "Gleaner" it's mentioned that Channing Eugene Babbit is a teacher at the village school. In another edition, it mentions CE Babbit giving lectures on astronomy and physics. He also taught in the Randall Hill district.

Dec. 11, 1941 edition of "DeRuyter NY Gleaner" carries the obit for Channing's brother, Clayton. It mentions that Channing is living in Randolph, AZ.

The Thursday, May 11, 1882 edition of the "DeRuyter New Era" notes that Reuben ". . .is quite seriously ill of pneumonia."

The 1892 New York State Census finds Reuben Babbit living in Cuyler Twp, Courtland Co., NY:
