Joe Best, 70, of Hermitage, died March 5, 2002, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born December 6, 1931, in Clevelean County, he was a son of the late Andrew Wesley Best and Lillie Mae Morgan Best.
He was a farmer and a logger. He was in the Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He was retired employee of the Arkansas Forestry Commission, serving at the Vick fire tower and a retired ferry pilot of the Moro Bay Ferry for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.
He was a member of the Eagle Lake Crossroads Baptist Church. He was proceded in death by two brothers, John Best and Kenneth Best
Suvivors include his wife, two sons, three daughters,two brothers, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Frazer's Funeral Home at Warren. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
