During her school years she had the advantage of one summer in Switzerland and another at a Quaker camp in Tennessee with its work project and the study of mountain music and folklore.
The following three years found her established in New York City in social work. Then came the call of the Red Cross and her decision to serve overseas. In the fall she took the Red Cross training necessary for social medical work (ending up in Honolulu.)
Miss Isabel Green was returned to the United States suffering from fatigue and after a few weeks in a hospital died on June 14th.
