Mrs. David (Pamela Kay) Shea, 55, of San Jose, CA, formerly of Remsen, died Tuesday, July 1, 1997, at her home in San Jose, following a lengthy illness with cancer.

Mrs. Shea was born March 18, 1942, at LeMars, the daughter of Hubert and Bertha (Bindner) Nothem. She was raised in Remsen and attended St. Mary's Catholic School and graduated from Remsen Public High School in 1960.

She married David Shea on December 31, 1960, at Antigo, WI. They lived in Wisconsin and Iowa until July 1963, when they moved to San Jose, where they made their home the past 34 years. She was a graduate of San Jose State University with a degree in accounting. She also held a cosmetologist license in the states of California and Iowa. Over the past 30 years she worked at various electronics firms in the area, and 20 of those years with Hewlett-Packard.

She was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church of San Jose.

Surviving are her husband Dave of San Jose; a daughter, Mrs. O'Neal (Kathryn) Sutton III of San Jose; two sons, Chris-topher of St. Nazaire les Eymes, France, and Gregory of San Jose; four grandchildren; her father of Remsen; two sisters, Mrs. Jerry (Christine) Reicks of Sioux City IA and Mrs. Michael (Terri) Slota of Remsen; and three brothers, Ted, Mike, and Robert, all of Remsen.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

A memorial service was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Remsen, on Saturday, July 19, with Rev. Timothy Johnson officiating.
