Leon S. Krolak

Leon S. Krolak, 95, a resident of the Willows, died in the Medina Memorial Hospital Saturday following an extended illness. His wife, Isabelle, died in 1979. Mr. Krolak was bom in Poland and came to the United Slates to live in Buffalo in 1910, later moving to Barker where he had been a farmer most of his life, before moving to Medina. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and had served in the U.S: Army during World War I. He was a member of the Herbert W. Carr American Legion in Barker. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Emily (Gerald) McAvoy of Wilson and Mrs. Jane (Charles) Gremke of Tonawanda; three sons, Leon (Regina) Krolak of Newark, N.Y.,- Donald (Connie Krolak of Columbus, Ohio, and Lawrence (Virginia) Krolak of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; 26 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a son-in-law, Dr. Harvey Blanchet of Medina, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased, by a daughter, Florence Blanchet. The family will receive friends and relatives today (2-4, 7-9) at the Gulinski Funeral Home, 420 Eagle St., where prayers will be said Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Thomas Taton will officiate and burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. The rosary will be recited tonight at 7 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to Medina Memorial Hospital.
