A Good Man Gone-
Died, at the residence of his son Mr. N. F. Phillips, in Bear Creek Township, on August 4th 1900, Mr. Laban Phillips, aged 87 years nine months and 20 days.
He was a good and true man to his country, a good neighbor, and loved by all who knew him. He voted the democratic ticket for 66 years, voting the last time two days before his death. He leaves two sons and a host of friends to mourn their loss. Peace to his ashes.
