'KEG' PRESLEY IS VICTIM OF HEART DISEASE
Death Comes After Sudden Attack At Home

Victim of a heart attack, I. N. "Keg" Presley, age 35 died suddenly at 4:50 a.m. today at his home, 214 south Union street. Dr. Hugh Ramsey, corner [sic], gave coronary occlusion as the cause of death.

The sudden attack came when Mr. Presley was apparently in his usual health. Today is the seventh birthday of Norma Lou, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Presley, and a number of the relatives had spent the day at the Presley home Sunday. The first warning of the fatal attack came about midnight when Mr. Presley complained of pains in his chest and left arm. He was believed to be suffering from indigestion and after taking some medicine retired and went to sleep. At 4:40 o'clock this morning Mrs. Presley was awakened by the sound of her husband's gasping breath. Realizing that he was very ill she called a physician, but he lapsed almost immediately into unconsciousness and death came within ten minutes.

Mr. Presley was a native of Elettsville [sic], but had lived in this city several years. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge. For several years he was employed as shipping clerk at the Matthews Bros. stone mill, and later operated a filling station at Third and Walnut streets. He had been employed recently with the maintenance division of the state highway department.

Survivors are the wife, Mrs. Frances Presley, former Monroe county treasurer; one daughter, Norma Lou; the parents Mr. and Mrs. Bea Presley of Indianapolis; two brothers, Richard Presley of this city and Paul Presley of Bridgport [sic], Ill., and one sister, Miss Margaret Presley of
Indianapolis.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed and will be announced Tuesday from the Weir funeral home to the residence.
