B. C. Dunlap Dies at 74
Brutus Clay Dunlap died Friday night at his Willows home, 430 West Laurel St., at the age of 74.
Born May 15, 1892 in Venado, Colusa County, he was a lifelong resident of Glenn and Colusa Counties, engaging in extensive ranching in the Maxwell - Sites area, principally in cattle.
Earlier he had grazed sheep in the Buttes area.
Mr. Dunlap was the son of Herman and Thurza Dunlap and a veteran of World War I.
Private funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, followed by burial in the Willows Veterans Cemetery. F. D. Sweet & Son Funeral Directors are in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret L., a son Howard Clay Dunlap, a stepdaughter, Mrs. J. A. Devitt, and a brother Willis E. Dunlap, all of Willows.
Mr. Dunlap's maternal grandparents, the B. C. Epperson's, came west from Coles County, Illinois, by covered wagon in 1864, settling near Yuba City, where Mr. Dunlap's mother was born.
