Julie Ann Tichota, 41, 2008 E. Second St., died at 11:23 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1997, at University Hospital, Little Rock, Ark., after suffering from myelofibrosis.
Miss Tichota was born April 13, 1956, at Lima, Ohio. She moved to Joplin in 1961 from Ohio. She was graduated in 1974 from the former Parkwood High School in Joplin. She was a professional illustrator and creator of Angels Afoot, a line of products featuring angelic illustrations of her cats.
She was a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church, Joplin.
Survivors include her parents, L.W. "Joe" and JoAnn Tichota, Joplin; a brother, Jon Tichota, Evanston, Ill.; and a sister, Terry Jo Tichota, Las Vegas, Nev.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Philip's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Daniel Erdman and Cynthia Schwab will officiate.
The body will be cremated.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
Contributions may be made to the Joplin Humane Society, in care of the mortuary.
