Denmark Iowa, July 20, 1888.
A little eight year old son of Mr. Blakeslee, residing in Washington Township, was drowned in Lost Creek yesterday. The child, together with a younger brother, was playing in the water and went beyond his depth, drowning before the brother could get help. The drowning occurred at 2:00 o'clock and the body was soon found. Funeral occurred this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock
