Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Federated Church, with Rev. C. L. Swihart, officiating.

Interment is in Grace Cemetery.

OBITUARY

Milton Neal Miller, son of Milton and Deborah Miller, was born on Jan. 12, 1874 at Springdale, Iowa, and passed away at Larned Kansas on Jan. 22, 1955, at the age of 81 years and 10 days.

His early childhood was spent at Springdale, and as a young man he moved to Oberlin, Kansas.

On Feb. 19, 1902, at McCook, Nebr., he was united in marriage with Jesse Wood. To this union four children were born. Two sons died in infancy.

In 1912, with his family he moved to Rawlins County. Most of his adult life was spent as a veterinarian. Mrs. Miller preceded her husband in death on Sept. 14, 1939.

He is survived by one son, Kenneth of McDonald, and one daughter, Mrs. Luella Stone of Colorado Springs, Colo. Eight grandchildren, other relatives, and a large number of friends also join in mourning his passing.

Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral were the following: Mrs. Verleen Vanhorn and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Keck, from Colby; Seth Compton, of Atwood; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Ward, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Nelson and daughter, Wesley and Kenneth Nelson and Ellen Wallace of Norton; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Renolds and son, of St. Francis; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hausen and Mr. and Mrs. Minor Lavell from Benkelman; Mrs. Clode Krutsinger and niece of Parks, Nebr.; Rev. Coppoc and Walter Briney of Goodland; and Rev. and Mrs. Adams from Bird City.

The chair wherin he used to sit
Recalls the kindly Father true
For, oh so filled with sun he was,
And oh, so very much he knew.
And as we face the problems grave
With which the years of life are filled,
We miss the hand that guided us,
And miss the voice forever stilled.

We little guessed how much he did
To smooth our pathway day by day,
How much of joy he brought to us,
How much of care he brushed away.
But now that we must tread alone,
The thoroughfares of life, we find,
How many burdens we were spared,
By him who was so brave and kind.
