Rose Ann (Plendl) Majeres was born on Friday, October 24, 1919, in rural LeMars, IA, the daughter of George and Agnes Connor Plendl.

On Monday, April 21, 1941, Rose Ann married Cyril Majeres at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Oyens, IA.

Rose Ann was raised and educated in the Oyens area. She graduated from Union HS in 1937.

Rose Ann and Cyril farmed south of Oyens for a couple of years, then moved to north of Oyens to farm, retiring on the farm in 1982.

Cyril died in 2000. Rose Ann continued to live on the farm until early 2001, when she moved into LeMars. On April 30, 2001, Rose Ann moved to Park Place Estates in LeMars. On January 2, 2006, she entered the Plymouth Manor Care Center.

Rose Ann was a member of Oyens St. Catherine's Church and, in her final years, of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in LeMars. She was a 60-year member of the Remsen (IA) Catholic Daughters of America, as well as Christian Mothers and the Church Guild in Oyens.

Rose Ann and Cyril had no children.

Rose Ann, 86, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at the Plymouth Manor Care Center in LeMars. Her wake was held on May 18 at the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen, and it included visitation after 2:00 p.m., a parish rosary at 3:00 p.m., and a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Following a 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass said by Father Eugene Murray at Oyens St. Catherine's Church on Friday, May 19, Rose Ann was buried beside her husband Cyril in St. Catherine's Cemetery in Oyens.
