Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 29 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery in Lexington.

Mrs. Appleby died on Friday, June 24, 2011 at New Haven Care Center, Odessa. Memorials to the family. Alma Brown was born on January 16, 1927 to George & Minnie Duncan Brown in Lexington, MO. Mrs. Appleby had been a homemaker, wife, and loving mother. Survivors include her children, Mrs. Joyce Spease and husband, Larry, Lexington, a son, Mark Appleby and wife, Rene, of Wellington and a daughter, Cindy Vidmar of Clinton, MO. There are three grandchildren, Lori Davis, Blue Springs, MO, Robert Ford, Shelton CT; Meagan Appleby, Odessa and 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great- grandchild. Also surviving are two sisters, Margie Kendrick and husband Pat, of Blue Springs and Marian Ewing of Lexington. Mrs. Appleby was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Michael Ford, and husbands.
