On February 18, 1919, Clementine married Alphonse Delperdang at Remsen St. Mary's Catholic Church.
They farmed north of Remsen for a few years before moving into Remsen, where Alphonse took up masonry. He worked at this trade for 40 years, first with Paul Schmidt and then on his own.
Alphonse and Clementine had two sons, Merle of Sioux City, Iowa, and Ken of Lisbon, Iowa.
Clementine and Alphonse were married for 58 years until Alphonse died on March 20, 1977.
Clementine then lived as a widow for another 9 years, the last several of which were in the Happy Siesta Nursing Home after she fell and broke her hip. Clementine died in Remsen on May 8, 1986.
