She was married on December 14, 2007 in LaPorte, IN, to Joel Bussie who survives. Also surviving are 1 son: Andrew James Bussie and her mother: Julie (James) Adams of LaPorte; her grandparents: Joan Quinlan and Robert Allison of St. Augustine, FL. The rest of her six pack also survive: Beth Reano (Aunt) , Robert (Heidi) Reano (Uncle), Nicole (Erik) Hartline, and Amber (Scott) Szawara. Along with Deneen (Kent) Burich and Erica Tufo (little cousin). Lauren's father: Rodney Tufo of Crete, IL; her grandmother: Luella Tufo; her uncles: Ric Tufo, Ron (Pam) Tufo, Randy Tufo and Robert (Jan) Tufo; her cousins: Reese Tufo, Ray Tufo, David Sindewald and Tyler Sindewald, also survive.

Lauren was born in Illinois but lived in LaPorte most of her life where she became friends with more people than can be counted. She was an adoring and exceptional mother. She loved her son more than words can describe. She was a beautiful, understanding, and irreplacable wife.

Lauren was a huge Chicago Sports Fan. She loved the Bears, the Bulls, The Sox and the Hawks, but not a Cubs Fan even though she went to more Cubs games than Sox.

Even though she lived in LaPorte, her heart was in the City. She loved Chicago. Lauren lived life to the fullest, never changing for anyone. There will be a hole in all of the hearts of the ones she loved that will never be filled. Everyone who met Lauren loved her and she loved them back. She may be gone for now, but she will never be forgotten.
