After Gledca was discharged from the U. S. Army in 1919, following WW I - spending 2 years in France, he enrolled in the Oklahoma University. He did his graduate work at Oklahoma State in Stillwater. He was an administrator for 30 years, four of which he served as President of South-Western State,(University) Weatherford. During WW II, while at South-Western State, he established the Army Aircraft Technician School, and received a citation from the U. S. Army. His wife, Zuma Weir, was an instructor at the college.
